I myself translate mainly from English into German for my clients. I specialise in translating advertising texts. My further specialist fields are business and tourism.

Translating is a demanding task. It is part of the requirements of a translator to achieve the balancing act between a correct rendering of the contents and a consideration of cultural differences. This is primarily relevant in the case of advertising texts which usually need to be translated freely and revised in a time-consuming way before usage in order to promote image and sales successfully.

When translating, so-called CAT tools (computer aided translation) are also used in order to speed up the translation process.
